The Power of ChatGPT and Questioning
It seems that there has never been an event in human history that has attracted as much widespread attention and astonishment as ChatGPT, as quickly as it has. Just last week, over 1,000 world-renowned figures, including Elon Musk and Yuval Harari, signed a statement calling for the halt of AI development surpassing GPT-4 for at least six months. This makes one wonder how astonishing and shocking this event must have been for humanity’s future.
The latest version, ChatGPT-4, achieved top 10% in the U.S. bar exam and top 11% in the SAT math exam for college admission, which means that not only should educational systems in every country undergo fundamental changes, but massive shifts in human employment are also inevitable in the near future.
When advanced robots equipped with state-of-the-art sensors and AI like ChatGPT-4 start replacing human tasks, it seems that most humans will either have to survive by assisting robots or by launching a second Luddite movement to destroy them. Translations are just the beginning – ChatGPT can also summarize books, write essays, compose music, and even draw pictures. It’s safe to say that it has already surpassed the creativity levels of most people. Who wouldn’t be awestruck by this monstrous entity that sorts and displays desired information at the speed of light, using all knowledge and information accumulated by humans thus far?
Even when utilizing ChatGPT-4, the principle of ‘garbage in, garbage out’ still applies. In other words, the quality of the questions determines the value of utilizing ChatGPT-4. In particular, the ability to develop follow-up questions based on previous questions and answers is expected to elevate the level of ChatGPT-4 utilization.
Many people are already experiencing amazing results using ChatGPT. The world will now be divided into those who use ChatGPT and those who do not, and of course, those who use it will naturally achieve much better results. The question isn’t whether to use ChatGPT or not, but rather how to use it well, which is an important task for everyone. To make the most of ChatGPT, one must improve the method and level of the questions. To do this, prioritizing ‘why’ in the thought process and striving to establish a mindset that values philosophy is essential. It is now an age where philosophy becomes important.
It is said, “seeing once is better than hearing a hundred times, and doing once is better than seeing a hundred times.” I encourage you to try ChatGPT today. As you continue to use it, you’ll gain insight into how to utilize it effectively and become more skilled at asking questions. I hope that all employees in our company will use ChatGPT to enhance their abilities, increase the efficiency of their performance, and embrace a comfortable future.
