YoungLimWon Soft-Lab supplies ERP to Sun&L Interior Vietnam corporation
YoungLimWon Soft-Lab (CEO Young Bum Kwon) announced on the 16th that it has begun a project to build an enterprise resource planning system (ERP) for Sun&L Interior Vietnam.
In 2022, YoungLimWon Soft-Lab successfully completed the ERP construction project at Sun&L Interior’s headquarters, and joined hands with Sun&L Interior for the second time by introducing ERP to the Vietnamese corporation.
Sun&L Interiors, a leader in apartment interior architecture, is expanding its business into the construction material sales area and accelerating the launch of the luxury furniture and construction materials brand ‘Sun Furniture’ and targeting the global market (North America and Southeast Asia).
Through this project, Sun&L Interior plans to build a system that can comprehensively manage the logistics of its headquarters and Vietnamese corporation.
This project will be carried out by YoungLimWon Soft-Lab Vietnam, which has 14 years of local know-how.
The construction site system introduced at Sun&L Interior’s headquarters will be manufactured, mass-produced, and established, and local-specific personnel/salary, accounting, production/logistics, and cost calculation systems for each product will be applied.
Furthermore, YoungLimWon Soft-Lab Vietnam will also build its own manufacturing execution system (MES).
The main tasks of the project are ▲ localization into the Vietnamese corporate business system ▲ establishment of a cost management system ▲ standardization of work processes ▲ increased work convenience due to increased production volume ▲ real-time production performance management through MES linkage, through which manual work using Excel is minimized. However, it is expected that overall work efficiency will be improved.
Typically, it takes about 6 months or more to build an ERP, but for this project, we chose a strategy of quickly starting use in 2 months and having a long training period in line with local circumstances.
YoungLimWon Soft-Lab increased research and development expenses in 2022 by 7.5% compared to the previous year. The proportion of research and development expenses has consistently stayed in the 10% range, at 13.7% last year, following 12.9% in 2021 and 11.5% in 2022.In addition to investing in the corporate culture innovation platform, which has been promoted as a new business for the past three years, YoungLimWon Soft-Lab has also invested in research and development to expand the cloud ERP industry.
This is a measure to significantly improve work efficiency as the production volume of Sun&L Interior Vietnam subsidiary has increased rapidly this year. The plan is to optimize the system through repeated training immediately after stabilizing the project.
Young Jun Jang, CEO of Sun&L Interior, said, “The Vietnamese subsidiary is in the process of expanding production by more than three times the existing level based on the technology and experience in manufacturing general doors and high-end wooden fire doors for new apartments accumulated over 13 years. “This is a scale that can supply 20-30% of the door volume installed in newly built apartments in Korea and at the same time satisfy the demand for high-quality doors in North America, including Canada, and Oceania, including Australia,” he said. “We will become the best door specialist partner for major domestic construction companies in the future.” With the ambitious goal of growing into a company, we are improving quality and efficiency by introducing an enterprise resource management system. “We expect that real-time communication with headquarters will be of great help in inventory and schedule management,” he said.
This year, AI research projects have been selected and are being promoted as a three-year plan. Research and development are also underway on AI ERP to incorporate generative AI into product lines. Some AI ERP models will be released in October of this year.
An official at YoungLimWon Soft-Lab said, “We are developing a new business package to diversify the industrial model,” and “We are conducting research and development on models for mid-sized companies to expand our customer base to mid-sized companies.”
