Team Outing at Leuweung Geledegan Ecolodge: Future is Ours

On August 30-31, 2024, our company PT.System Ever Indonesia (SEI) had the privilege of spending two incredible days at the Leuweung Geledegan Ecolodge in Bogor. This outing was more than just a break from our daily routines – it was a unique opportunity to connect with nature, strengthen our team bond, and reflect on our shared goals.
The two-day outing was packed with team-building activities that not only encouraged collaboration but also tested our ability to think on our feet and work together effectively. From challenging Indoor and outdoor exercises to problem-solving tasks, we had a chance to learn more about each other’s strengths, communication styles, and leadership abilities.
Indoor and outdoor activities
Our outing began that we arrive at Leuweung Geledegan Ecolodge, Bogor at 10.30 AM After that we gathered in the hall and had a coffee break session, after that this outing event was welcomed and opened by the chairman of the committee who initiated this outing activity, Miqdad and also the President Director of PT. System Ever Indonesia (SEI), Mr. Kwon Oh Cheol. After that we carried out several indoor activities and team-building exercises designed to bring out the best in collaboration, communication, and creativity. From interactive icebreaker sessions to strategic group challenges, these activities fostered teamwork and helped us get to know each other better.

One of the most engaging activities was the “Rock Paper Scissors” activities where all employees are divided into many groups of 2 people, then each group must play rock, paper, scissors and the loser must position himself behind his friend who wins, then play rock, paper, scissors again with another group until a winner is found. This not only tested our problem-solving skills but also highlighted the importance of trust and shared effort in achieving common goals. The laughter, friendly competition, and moments of teamwork set a great tone for the rest of this activities.
After lunch break, we dove into more action-packed outdoor activities that took advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings. There are many activities that we do in outdoors, such as “Guessing Words Based on Demonstrations”, “Volleyball with Water Balloons”, “Group Rock, Paper, Rock, Paper, and more”, “Drawing and Painting”, and even playing “Paintball”, but the main highlight is when the activity of carrying and keeping candles with the aim of burning the rope which will later open the banner that has been prepared. In this activity we aim to keep the burning candles and carry them from one point to another with the challenge that we will be pelted by plastic filled with water that has been prepared by the committee. After several attempts, we all managed to bring the burning candle to its final destination and open the banner that had been prepared.
After the outdoor activities were done, we rested in the rooms that had been prepared and gathered again in the hall for dinner, then there was a gift exchange event, door prizes and the closing of the activities and events for the day, then we rested and the next day we returned home to Jakarta.
Personal Growth and Reflection
In addition to the Outing activities, we had moments of reflection through guided mindfulness sessions and group discussions. These moments allowed us to reflect on our individual growth, share personal insights, and set collective goals for the future.
The calm environment of Leuweung Geledegan Ecolodge provided the perfect setting for self-reflection. It reminded us of the importance of slowing down, recharging, and being present in the moment – values that we plan to bring back to our work life.
As we return to our regular work schedules, the energy, lessons, and memories from this outing will stay with us. The outing wasn’t just a break; it was a bonding experience that reinforced our commitment to collaboration, innovation, and personal growth.
A special thanks to everyone who organized this event and made it possible. We are excited to carry the spirit of unity and the lessons we’ve learned into the next chapter of our journey. Through this event, each group earned rewards from the team-building activities, which can be used to strengthen their bonds even outside the outing activity.

We interviewed two members of System Ever Indonesia, Nyoman (Developer) and Annisa (ERP Consultant), about their experience with the recent outing.
Nyoman said the outing was a lot of fun and helped build closer connections with coworkers, especially through games that required teamwork. His favorite moment was the candle-protection game, where everyone worked together and got soaked, which strengthened their bond. For future outings, he hopes for more participants and a longer event.

Annisa found the outing tiring but enjoyable, helping employees from different divisions bond. She felt the activities were well-organized, making the event fun for everyone. Annisa hopes SEI continues these outings as they bring happiness that carries over into the workplace. She, too, mentioned the candle game as the highlight, where everyone worked together to keep their candles lit despite the water balloons.
