Life loses its meaning without dreams

September 2, 2024

One thing that people with dreams have in common is the sparkle in their eyes. In contrast, those who have lost hope and forgotten their dreams no longer have that light.

A life without dreams becomes a tiresome, repetitive cycle, like a hamster running on a wheel. There’s no excitement for a better tomorrow, and no effort is made to change it.

I believe dreams are the most important lighthouse in life. They guide us when we’re lost, give us hope in difficult times, and become the driving force that propels us toward a brighter future.
There’s a theory that the best way to make a dream come true is to vividly imagine the outcome, over and over again. If you think, “This dream might be too difficult,” or “Can this dream even come true?” it’s almost guaranteed that it won’t. A forgotten dream is one that will never come to life, don’t you agree?

To live a hopeful and energized life, we need dreams. Whether it’s a simple personal dream or a big collective one, having something to strive for gives us purpose. And when people have something they truly want to achieve, they feel motivated and fulfilled.
While dreaming alone can be exciting, it’s hard to keep that dream alive on your own. But when we share dreams as a team, we combine our strengths, creating a synergy that makes achieving them much easier.

We have our own dream here at 4-Ace. Have you forgotten it? Our dream is to achieve the “4 Aces” by 2030: $1 billion in revenue, an average salary of 100 million KRW, a stock price of 100,000 KRW, and becoming Asia’s No. 1 ERP company.

For this dream to come true, every one of us needs to actively visualize what our company and our own lives will look like when we reach that goal. Once we become Asia’s top ERP company, everything else will follow naturally.

Recently, I’ve felt this dream becoming more real, as we’ve started achieving related milestones both domestically and internationally.
From win-back cases in Korea’s public sector SAP market, to securing an ODM contract with Daehung Electronics as Fujitsu’s No. 1 ERP business partner in Japan, to signing a PI contract with one of Indonesia’s largest corporations for the biggest ERP deal in our history—these successes make me believe that if we all pursue this dream with passion, our vision will surely come to life.

So, why not take a moment to dream about what a fulfilled work life and a happy personal life will look like? Let’s dream big together.
